lightbringer points
ok I hope I haven't messed up. I have gotten to dzagnors bastion (sp) And I am having a hard time doing the mission. So I find out that having level 2 lightbringer makes it easier. So I ask around how to get them and ppl tell me quests and bounties. But after looking around and checking guildwiki I am afraid I may have passed some of them up and I'm not sure how to get more points, I only have 30, so obviously I missed some stuff. If anyone can give me any help on what to do I would appreciate it. Thanks

Look at rez shrines for Whispers agents, they give hunts for Lightbringer points.
While there are several quests mostly the rewards are only 10 lightbringer points and you can farm that quite fast without the quests. I beat the game with only rank 3(brave lightbringer) so while they do help its not absolutly manditory for you to max out that tittle. |

I did it for 3 toons with hench and hero each time and get masters completion every time on first try. Just use as many MM/ele heroes as you can to chop through the mobs. The lightbringer skill is overrated.

I agree with generik, got masters with hench not even a lightbringer myself
My set up was Master of Whispers, Olias, Dunkoro, healer hench + 3 others At the start of the mission order the whisper npcs to guard the different posts. Once the generals apear flag 1 mm and dunkoro to guard the east bombardment along with the npcs while you and the rest of the hench team take out the generals. My order is Monk general -> Warrior general -> Ele general -> Paragon general. |

Most of the people who have lightbringer at that mission are people that have already completed the mission, but are coming back for masters. It is possible to get LB gaze before you pass that mission, but it's a more of a grind to attain than just waiting to later on in the game. Completing the mission is entirely possible without anyone using LB gaze, but it can help to get masters.
That said, LB gaze is really overrated imo. It's a nice spike every once in a while, but since it's affected by armor and has a 15 second recharge time, I don't see it being a 'must have' for every class to bring. |

If you want to get your Lightbringer rank you can do it right there outside the Bastion.
Speak to the Whispers Informant outside the gate, then circle the Mirror of Lyss area, killing all groups of Djinn and Roaring Ethers. Each kill will give you 2 points. ANet took away points for re-killing rezzed foes. There are 6-7 groups of 3-5 monsters each. Bring keys if you want, there are usually 1-2 Vabbian chests in the area covered. If you find a chest and don't have a key, there is a merchant in the building down the hill from the Bastion. Last edited by Darcy; Dec 10, 2006 at 10:12 PM // 22:12.. |
